May 22, 2013

SANTA CLARITA, Calif – The Master’s College golf squad capped off its season by earning prestigious post-season honors.

For the second time in his collegiate career, Thane Ringler (Hutchinson, KS) earned a spot on the 2012-13 NAIA All-American list, the 2012-13 NAIA PING First-Team All-American team, and the 2012-13 NAIA PING All-Region team. Also joining Ringler on the 2012-13 NAIA PING All-Region team was recent TMC graduate, Michael Reitz (Denver, CO).

Both Ringler and Nolan Sand (Hoquiam, WA) represented the Mustangs on the 2012-13 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete list.  To be nominated for this honor, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved junior academic status.

The Mustangs finished their season with a No. 9 national ranking, and are returning four upperclassmen for 2013-14.
