Men's Golf Gains 5 Spots in NAIA polls
The Master's Men's Golf team is moving on up. In the November 17th release of the NAIA Coaches' Poll the Mustangs were voted in at number 11.
The five spot move (they were previously T16) comes after a stellar fall campaign in which the squad took first place in three of their four events, and just missed the championship in their last event by one stroke. The three tournament wins included the NCCAA National Championship where Kevin Anderson led his team with a first place finish of his own.
Of his team's jump in the NAIA polls, Coach Semelsberger said, "We are excited…We praise God and recognize how great He is! We love to maximize the gifts He has given us for His glory. Our team also understands that we need to get better this offseason and will be taking the necessary steps to improve. We desire to be excellent on an off the golf course, giving our absolute best, to exalt the name of Jesus Christ."
The team will be back on the course on February 4th, looking to continue their move up the NAIA charts.
