Men's Golf Fall Schedule Announced
June 21, 2012
SANTA CLARITA, Calif. -- The Master’s College Athletic Department has released the 2012 Men’s Golf Fall schedule.
“The 2012 fall season is shaping up very well for us, by God’s grace,” reports Mustang coach Jason Semelsberger. “We’re excited to travel to Texas and match up against top ten teams in Texas Wesleyan, Oklahoma City, and Our Lady of the Lake. It’s fun seeing our players compete in quality amateur events this summer in order to prepare themselves for this bounce-back season.”
The Mustangs will open their season by competing in the California State Intercollegiate classic held at the Diamond Valley Golf Course in Hemet, and then later make an appearance in the CSU San Marcos Fall Classic held at Twin Oaks Golf Course in San Marcos, California. Both tournaments will serve as barometers for where the Mustangs stand as the squad looks to reclaim a spot within the national ranks.
The Mustang’s 2012 golf season concluded with a strong showing by Thane Ringler in the NAIA Golf National Championships. The Mustangs finished their 2012 campaign by losing only one senior to graduation and will return six veterans to the courses.
“Our spring season will begin, as it does every year, with our annual TMC Mustang Cup, where our alumni come in from around the country to have a friendly competition with the current squad. We have moved our home event to the spring and are currently working on finalizing dates for it.”
Semelsberger and his Mustangs’ season will begin with a showing at the California State Intercollegiate classic held at the Diamond Valley Golf Course in Hemet, California from September 23rd to the 25th.
