March 5, 2014

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – The Master’s College golf team is proud to announce the signing of Nick Latta of Tucson, Arizona to compete during the 2014-15 athletic year.

Latta, an upcoming graduate of Desert Christian High School, has enjoyed considerable success during his prep years, highlighted by a first-place finish at the Tucson West Junior Championship and a tie for the top spot at the Tucson East Junior Championship, both events taking place in the summer of 2013.

Latta also has three admirable goals as he looks forward to competing for The Master’s College next year: “To glorify God, help the team win an NAIA title, and win an individual title by my senior year.”

Latta plans to pursue a degree in Business Administration with an eye on playing professionally.

Following a solid fall showing in three events, the Mustangs kicked off their spring schedule with a third-place finish (out of 12 teams) at the CSU San Marcos Spring Invite. More recently, the Mustangs finished 6th of 12 with a team score of 916 (299-297-320) at the TMC Spring Invitational.

Latta’s signing is a key one looking ahead to 2014-15 season, with the Mustangs graduating four key seniors this year.
