After a season of many exciting moments and accomplishments John Lawson finished T-37th and The Master's College finished T-12th at the end of National Championship play Friday afternoon. Lawson's final score totalled 301, one stroke ahead of Kevin Anderson, leading the team to their 1207 total. The weather finally cooperated on the final day, leaving the 17 teams to put their best foot forward, but in the end, Oklahoma Christian was too much to handle, and the Mustangs struggled to find their rhythm.

Coach Jason Semelsberger reflected, "I'm so proud of the guys and I really appreciate their effort throughout the year…Their commitment has been there all season and was evident even this week…We didn't play the way we wanted to, but we are really excited that we took another step for the program…Finishing 12th in the country is another step forward for us. We are thankful for everything that's happened and we give Christ the glory."

Though the Mustangs did not bring any team awards home and were disappointed with their performance they still had reasons to cheer. Lawson's performance was very solid. At the awards ceremony the team saw Thane Ringler named to the All Freshman Team for his impressive first season. Senior Kevin Anderson was also honored as he was named a First Team All American after his phenomenal season.

With the close of a great year there is plenty to look forward to as the Mustangs return a squad full of talent and skill and hope to continue taking steps forward.
