Darren Board returned to his alma mater (B.A. Kinesiology, 2003) to join The Master's College faculty/staff in the fall of 2006. As the Athletic Trainer overseeing Men's Golf, Men's Soccer and Baseball, his job responsibilities include evaluating athletic injuries, overseeing daily treatment protocols, and designing rehabilitations programs for injured athletes, in addition to his strength and conditioning work.

Coach Board is also a TPI Certified Golf Fitness Instructor and a Performance Enhancement Specialist (NASM) and oversees the Strength & Conditioning program for the Men's Golf team. At the start of every fall season, each player is evaluated using the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Physical Screen to identify any physical limitations within the body. These limitations are found in the form of tissue restrictions, strength deficits, and an inability to generate and transfer power effectively throughout the body. The findings of each TPI Physical Screen are then correlated with Video Analysis of the players' swing technique and a customized program is built to address each specific limitation. Team training sessions are then structured around increasing total-body power, building functional strength and improving golf-specific flexibility.

Before taking his position on the Mustang staff, Darren was first a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer at the University of the Pacific where he received his Master's Degree in Sports Science. He then took a job as the Head Athletic Trainer at Bishop Kenny High School (Jacksonville, FL).

Darren met his wife April at The Master's College and they have been married since 2004. They have two children, Emma and Addison and live in Santa Clarita.
