High School: Was one of the standout golfers on the Washington high school golf scene... The four-year varsity letterman was selected Hoquiam High School's team MVP every one of his his high school years in addition to his four-year selection to the Evergreen Conference Boys' Golf All-League First Team....Was a three-time Evergreen Conference Boys' Golf All-League First Team MVP... Had a great year in 2008 when he placed third in the Boys' 2A High School State Championship, was honored with the Washington State Golf Association District Three Joan Teats Most Inspirational Award, and won the Desert Junior Tour Hillcrest Challenge in Arizona. In 2009 earned a first-place finish at the Grays Harbor Men's Amateur Championship (part of the Pacific Northwest Golf Association's tour)...Capped off his high school career with a first-place finish at the 2009 District Three Championship, shooting 71-65 for an eight-under total (136).
