Men's Cross Country places 15th at Nationals

LAWRENCE, Kan. – The Master’s College men’s cross country team finished 15th of 32 teams in the NAIA Cross Country National Championship race on Saturday in Lawrence, Kansas.
The squad’s strong performance concluded yet another successful year for the Mustangs.
The 15th-ranked Mustangs tallied 450 points in the 8K race Saturday with a combined time of 2 hours 10 minutes and 18.12 seconds.
Matthew Crichton (Mission Viejo, CA) led TMC by placing 91st overall at 25:48.38, while John Hurd (Fairview, PA) finished in 92nd-place at 25:48.96.
“We have a young team who has a strong work ethic that will continue to mature over the coming years,” commented head coach Zach Schroeder. “We're excited to have had the opportunity to compete at the national level and will look to be a contender in years to come.”
Now, the Mustangs will take a few weeks off and then focus their efforts on the approaching 2014 track season.
