2013: Been a part of every individual and team national championship appearance since his freshmen year…brings valuable experience to the squad...coaching staff needs Matt to help other guys on the squad learn the ropes of the sport and be a mentor….possibly one of the most experienced athletes in the NAIA for track and cross….looking to put together some top marks in cross…a possible NAIA All-American recipient for 2013….has yet to put together a great national championship performance….loyal, hardworking, and has improved every year….will continue to improve as a leader and an individual/team competitor.
2012: Returning his Junior year, Crichton ran 25:42 last year during TMC’s conference championship meet… If he can get back to the point where he was last year, he’ll certainly add depth to the squad… Matt has the opportunity to be an All-American this year and will definitely be one of the squads top 5 guys.
2011:The exciting young talent will look to build off his freshmen year and take advantage of the opportunity to be an eight-time NAIA National qualifier during his career at TMC
2010: Crichton had a stellar freshman campaign. As an incoming freshman, Crichton was relatively untapped. Gifted and hard-working, Matt quickly rose to be a contributor for the 2010 men's team that finished 11th at the NAIA Cross Country National Championships. During the spring 2011 track season, Crichton was runner-up for GSAC Champion in the men's 3000m steeplechase, as well as breaking the school record and qualifying for the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships in the event .
High School: Ran the 5k in 16:28...
Personal: Chose TMC, "because it is a very godly school that is strong both educationally and athletically…I'm looking forward to running in the awesome hills of Santa Clarita and being immersed in a God-centered environment."
