SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – The Master’s College men’s cross country program has announced its 2014 schedule.

The Mustangs will open their season on Saturday, September 6, at the UC Irvine Invitational.

On September 20, the squad will stay local and compete at its third annual home event, The Mustang Challenge, at Santa Clarita’s Central Park.

October will consist of three crucial races for the squad: the Vanguard Invitational on the 11th, the Santa Clara Invitational on the 18th, and the NAIA West Coast Jamboree on the 25th.

October will serve as a barometer for the team as it enters the always-competitive GSAC Championships on November 9. This year’s conference championship race will be hosted by The Master’s College at Central Park.

Finally, on Saturday, November 22, the squad looks to compete at the NAIA National Championship in Rim Rock Farm, Kansas.

Last season, the squad laid the foundation for what looks to be a strong future. The Mustangs manufactured strong marks in 2013, by bagging a fourth consecutive GSAC title while producing four All-GSAC cross country athletes along the way: Matthew Crichton, John Hurd, Joshua Sherfey, and Tyler Tockstein.
