SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – Joining The Master’s College men’s cross country and track teams in 2014 is Andrew Dolan of Santa Clarita, California.
“I chose The Master’s College because I feel that it would be a good environment for me to grow spiritually,” commented Dolan. “I am really looking forward to running for the Mustangs and helping my team. I also look forward to learning more about Christ.”
A Hart High graduate, Dolan enters his time at The Master’s College being highly regarded by his high school coach, Darren James, after receiving the Coaches' Award for cross country.
Dolan is no stranger to TMC as his older brother, Ryan, currently plays for the school’s soccer team.
Already looking to make an impact on the collegiate level, Dolan hopes to be able to be a big contributor to the cross country and track teams by helping them win a national championship.
When not competing for the Mustangs, Dolan looks to make an impact in the classroom while majoring in Kinesiology and Physical Education.
Commenting on Dolan’s signing, head coach Zach Schroeder stated, “We found out about Dolan from his best friend, Andrew Orona. We actually had the privilege of signing both Andrews together. Dolan is a guy who has a heart for the Lord and a desire to grow, not just athletically, but in his walk with Christ. His soft-spoken, teachable demeanor makes him someone I'm incredibly excited to coach. I believe he has a ton of upside potential and I can't wait to see how he develops over the next four years.”
TMC’s men’s cross country team manufactured strong marks in 2013, by bagging a fourth consecutive GSAC title while producing four All-GSAC cross country athletes along the way: Matthew Crichton, John Hurd, Joshua Sherfey, and Tyler Tockstein.
Looking to another fruitful 2014-15 season, the Mustangs will be graduating only one senior and returning seven veterans.
Dolan and the Mustangs will open the 2014 cross country season on September 6 at the UC Irvine Invitational.
