2013-14: One of the club’s most consistent players over the past two years, this cerebral athlete should earn plenty of court time as a starter at the four or as one of the first off the bench…works extremely hard and doesn’t mind doing the “dirty” work of playing tough defense and rebounding…a system player, he knows what his niche is and plays accordingly…enjoys the challenge of the game and is a consummate team player…continues to develop a solid inside-outside game…can step out and shoot the three-ball and then power inside with authority…staying engaged and producing within his role will benefit him and the team.
2012-13: Fought off the effects of a sophomore slump to contribute consistently as a starter and a valuable reserve…played in every game for the second year in a row…was second on the team in field goal percentage, shooting just over 53% for the second year in a row…tallied in double figures nine times, highlighted by a career-high 18 points vs. Arizona Christian on 1/12/13 when he also posted his third and final double-double of the campaign by hauling down a career-high tying 13 rebounds…had another 13-carom outing against Concordia of Oregon on 12/29/12…had 12 rebounds and 12 points against Cal State San Marcos on 1/5/13…handed out a career-high five assists against Bethesda on 12/31/12.
2011-12: First-year athlete played in every game and produced solid play off the bench and as a starter…played over 20 minutes per game, hit just over 53% of his shots from the field and averaged just under five rebounds per outing…posted seven double-figure scoring outings, including a season-high 17 points vs. Southwestern Assemblies of God (TX) in a first-round game at the NCCAA National Tournament on 3/14/12…that may have been his best game of the season since he also grabbed 10 rebounds, went 8-9 from the field, and had three steals…pulled down a season-best 11 rebounds vs. New Hope Christian (OR) on 11/5/11…blocked three shots in a game three times.
Northeast Christian Academy: Put together two prolific and decorated seasons with the Warriors, leading them to a pair of TAPPS (Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools) 2A state championships while earning state player of the year honors twice…as a junior in 2009-10, he averaged 20.5ppg, 13.8rpg, and 4.2apg as the Warriors went 30-7 en route to their first title…he was named the TAPPS 2A District 7 MVP, Most Outstanding Player of the state tournament, first-team all-state, and TAPPS Player of the Year…a year later, he capped off his sparkling two-year run at NCA with another jaw-dropping campaign, averaging 21.5ppg, 11.9rpg, and 5.4apg…he led the Warriors to a 35-2 record, another state championship, and a duplication of his postseason honors from the previous year.
