Martin Rounds Out Recruiting Class
The 2011 men's basketball recruiting class appeared set, but Head Coach Chuck Martin added to an already promising recruiting class by signing Katy, Texas native Mike Harmon.
Harmon, a guard, figures to have an immediate impact for the Mustangs. As a senior last year at Morton Ranch High School, Harmon led his team to a 30-6 record, was first team All-Region, and most impressively, was first team All-State at the 5A level. The 5-11 guard was also the District Offensive MVP, averaging 22 points per game, four assists per game, and four rebounds per game.
When asked about Harmon, Coach Martin stated, "We are really excited to finish our recruiting with a player like Mike. He may well be one of the best shooters we have recruited here at Master's and has achieved almost everything a player can in the state of Texas. He really liked the school and our current players on his visit and felt like Master's was the best fit for him. We expect Mike to play quality minutes as a freshman and contribute to an already deep and quality backcourt."
Joining Harmon is guard Logan Quinn, a Division I transfer from Arkansas-Little Rock. Quinn redshirted for the Trojans last season. As a senior at Arkansas Baptist HS in 2010 he attained Class 3A All-State, All-Region, and All-Conference honors.
Harmon joins a recruiting class that features freshman forward Chris Patureau, freshman swingman Jon Hogan, Division I transfer (Montana State) guard Casey Trujeque, JC transfer (College of the Sequoias) Lance Reeves, and freshman wing Britton Doerbecker.
