Paul Brown notched a double-double and three other Mustangs scored in double figures to lead The Master’s College past La Sierra 74-63 Saturday evening in Riverside.
The victory kept the Mustangs’ record unblemished through the first six games of the season.
Both of Brown’s numbers (11 points, 11 rebounds) were season-highs and gave him his first double-double of the 2011-12 campaign.
The Mustangs shot just 34% in the first half but they limited the Golden Eagles to 28% accuracy and took a 31-22 lead at the break.
Over the final 20 minutes they improved to 54% and held off the hosts.
Joining Brown in double figures were Devin Dyer and Anthony Cammon, who led the Mustangs with 14 points apiece, and Leif Karlberg who finished with 10.
The Mustangs take a week off before resuming action next Saturday evening at Claremont.
