2010-11: Lightning-quick, second-year playmaker
has grown in the system and is able to give a change of pace at the
point…will be a regular part of the rotation, giving All-GSAC guard
Joey Fuca a breather…is stronger physically and mentally and makes
good reads…can break down defenses with quickness and
speed…shooting it better from the perimeter…precision passer and a
smart, on-ball defender.
2009-10: The diminutive freshman point guard played in
all of the squad's games and became a valuable backup while
providing a dynamic change of pace…finished fourth on the squad in
assists…handed out three or more assists seven times…dished out a
season-high four vs. Westmont on 1/9/10…tallied a season-best eight
points vs. San Diego Christian on 12/12/09, going 3-3 from the
field…may have had his best overall game of the year vs. Pt. Loma
Nazarene on 2/27/10 when he scored six points, had three assists,
and grabbed a season-high four rebounds.
Bishop Montgomery HS: Started all four years for
Coach Doug Mitchell…the Knights advanced to the postseason each of
those campaigns, highlighted by a pair of CIF State Tournament
championship appearances…in his junior year, when he earned
second-team All-Del Rey League kudos, the Knights (26-7) captured
the CIF Southern Section Division 4AA title before losing in the
state final…a year later, the Knights (28-5) earned a return trip
to the state championship finale and were defeated on a
buzzer-beater…he was a first-team, all-league choice and a
second-team All-CIF Southern Section Division 4AA selection his
senior year.
