2014: After proving himself last year, the senior should catch the bulk of the team’s games and display the characteristics of a leader…although he shows fine receiving and blocking skills, his biggest attribute may be his steady temperament that produces excellent rapport with the pitching staff…will gun down a lot of baserunners with an accurate arm…hits to all fields…stays inside well and goes the opposite way with no problem…very enthusiastic and loves competition.
2013: One of the club’s most versatile players, he settled in behind the plate where he made 27 starts and provided much-needed depth…threw out five would-be base stealers and committed only three errors in 151 chances…recorded a season-high 10 putouts vs. Menlo on 2/26/13…at the plate, he laced two hits in a game on four occasions, including a 2-4, one-rbi performance vs. San Diego Christian in a NAIA National Championship Opening Round game on 5/10/13.
2012: Excelled off the bench, stroking a team-best five pinch-hits…made nine starts, proving his versatility at three positions in the field and at designated hitter…drove in two runs twice, against Menlo on 2/17/12 and La Sierra on 4/3/12 when he hit his lone roundtripper of the year…started at first base vs. Azusa Pacific on 3/19/12 and recorded 12 putouts.
2011: Played in seven games during his first collegiate season, all in a reserve role…his lone hit of the season came against Biola on 4/27/11.
Roberson HS: A three-year starter on the varsity, he played third base his sophomore year and caught his final two seasons…part of a Ram team that won the Mountain League title in his junior year and finished third in the state playoffs in 2010…hit a combined .325 during his prep career…earned honorable mention all-league honors his final two years.
