2015: The staff’s most improved pitcher, pounding the strike zone more consistently, he’ll be used in middle relief and as a spot starter…with excellent movement on his fastball, he’ll make a lot of batters miss.

2014:  Made 11 appearances in his freshman season, all out of the bullpen, and gave up runs in just two of those…fanned two or more batters seven times, highlighted by a three-strikeout performance vs. Simpson on 1/17/14 in his collegiate debut.

Santa Ynez Valley HS:  A three-year varsity performer for the Pirates and Coach Warren Dickey, he pitched on three postseason squads…gained some varsity experience as a sophomore but really showed off his arm a year later when he made seven starts, going 5-1, notching a pair of complete games, and fashioning a miniscule 0.90 earned-run average…capped his prep career in 2013, winning five more times and posting a 1.40 ERA as the Pirates reached the CIF Southern Section Division V quarterfinals…named team MVP and second-team All-Los Padres League…wound up his career striking out 120 batters in 123 innings of work while putting up a 1.25 ERA.
