2016: Hoping to grow on the strength of a wonderful 2015 season, he’ll settle into the No. 2 spot in the rotation with ace stuff…has matured into an outstanding player…possesses excellent command of all his pitches with highly-tuned refinement…when he keeps the ball down, he is extremely difficult to hit…his repertoire features a straight fastball, a cutter, and a changeup…confidence in his stuff makes him a winner.
2015: The team’s “No. 3” starter was much better than that in a sophomore campaign marked by remarkable consistency and capped by All-GSAC honors…his 1.94 earned-run average led the starting staff, was second in the conference, and was the third-lowest, single-season mark in school history…notched his first win of the season vs. Westmont on 2/28/15…led the staff with a trio of complete games, highlighted by a eight-hit shutout of Concordia on 3/14/15…settled for a no-decision despite going a strong 7.1 innings of shutout ball vs. Westmont in a second-round GSAC Tournament game on 5/1/15…struck out a career-high 12 batters vs. William Jessup on 4/11/15…recorded a save with one inning of spotless relief vs. Vanguard on 4/24/15.
2014: The freshman lefty threw in a number of situations, most of them out of the bullpen where he provided strong middle relief…made five starts, three of them in impressive fashion…debuted out of the bullpen on 1/18/14 against Simpson and struck out three in two innings of work…nine days later, he started against the Red Hawks, tossing five innings of two-hit, four-strikeout ball to earn his first collegiate victory…he was even more impressive in his next start over two months later, going six shutout innings against Vanguard on 4/5/14 and striking out seven to improve to 2-0…nearly duplicated that in his final start on 5/1/14, blanking Vanguard on four hits through five innings.
