2014:  A gifted catcher with wonderful potential, all he needs is experience…should see a lot of action during a season in which he may auditioning for a starting job in 2015…has a cannon for an arm…developing strength, better footwork, and the mental part of the game.

Calvary Christian HS:  Putting together one of the most sparkling careers in the history of the program, he started all four years and played on three league championship teams and one CIF title squad…rotated around the infield and hit .318, and drove in 22 runs in his freshman season (2010) when he was named team Co-MVP and All-Citrus League second-team…moved behind the plate for his sophomore season and excelled there the rest of his prep career, calling pitches for a staff that would be one of the best in the nation over the next three years…in 2011, he led the Lions to the first of three straight Citrus League championships (the team would go 27-0 in league play over his final three years) and was named all-league first-team and the club’s Gold Glove Award recipient…a year later, behind his .304 average and a career-best 24 rbi, the Lions notched their second consecutive league title, went on to win the CIF San Diego Section Division V championship, and earned a No. 2 state ranking in Division V…as a result, he earned first-team all-league honors for the second year in a row and added the team’s Key Player award…capped a much-decorated career in 2013, pacing the Lions to another league championship and postseason appearance with a .398 batting average and a career-best 35 hits…earned his third straight all-league nod and was named league MVP…in his years behind the plate, he threw out an jaw-dropping 64% of attempted basestealers.
