2012: The only player in this year’s projected infield that played all of last year at one position, he returns as the anchor at the hot corner…has all the physical and mental tools to meet high expectations…blessed with superb hands and a strong, consistent arm…should hit in the middle of the order, displaying good plate discipline, an effective approach to the ball, and the penchant for hitting to all fields.
2011: Earning the starting job at third base out of training camp, the highly-touted freshman made 49 starts and put together a solid rookie year…led the team with nine sacrifices and was third in assists…finished fourth on the club in hits, runs scored, and hit by pitches…went 2-4 in his collegiate debut vs. Patten on 1/28/11 and recorded nine more multi-hit games…collected a season-high three hits twice, highlighted by a 3-3, three-rbi performance vs. Mt. Vernon Nazarene of Ohio in the NCCAA World Series on 5/19/11…ripped a pair of double to go along with a single, three runs scored, and two rbi vs. San Diego Christian on 4/18/11…had a season-high four assists on four occasions.
Wilson HS: Playing in one of Southern California's premier programs, he was a three-year varsity starter for Coach Andy Hall and the Bruins…was a regular on the left side of the infield and also pitched…as a sophomore, he hit .333 with 16 rbi and no-hit Moore League opponent, Long Beach Jordan, as the Bruins advanced to the CIF Southern Section Division I championship game…in his junior year, he hit .312 with 18 rbi and earned All-Moore League first-team honors…capped a stellar prep career in 2010 when his .372 average and 25 rbi earned him first-team, all-league kudos for the second year in a row and a spot on the Long Beach Press-Telegram's "Dream Team."
