2010: The club’s most improved player from last year to this season, he’s expected to be the starter behind the plate…an excellent receiver, he communicates well with the staff and knows what pitches to call…very accurate thrower with a fluid motion…developing into a threat at the plate by practicing more discipline and concentrating on hitting to all fields…battles through every at-bat.
2009: First-year player made 20 starts, most of those behind the plate but he also played some first base, right field, and was the DH on a couple of occasions…produced a trio of two-rbi games…went 2-3 against Westmont on 4/2/09 and 2-4 against Taylor of Indiana in an NAIA National Tournament Opening Round game on 5/13/09.
Hart HS: A three-year varsity performer for the Indians and Coach Jim Ozella…posted career-highs of .371 and 18 rbi in his junior year (2007)…a year later, he hit .316 and drove in 16 runs. |
