Local Area Women
In an effort to serve Christ's church locally and to equip women to minister biblically to other women, according to Titus 2 with older women training younger women, The Master's College is offering a Women's Ministries Award of Achievement to women in churches in our local area.
You may want to take the classes for your own personal spiritual growth and ministry equipping or for specific ministry and leadership in the women's ministry of your church.
To earn the Award, you would complete 15 units (approximately five courses) of academic work related to:
- personal Bible study
- public speaking
- event planning
Some classes are available during the evening.
Women admitted to the program will take courses on a "space available" and "non-matriculation" basis. This is not an "audit" program. Women who take these classes are committing to regular class attendance and completion of assignments.
Each course at the college has a maximum number allowed in the course each semester and is closed when that number is reached. If the class is not full, the "space available" to fill the class would be open to local women who are admitted to the Women's Ministries Award of Achievement program.
The courses taken for the Women's Ministries Award of Achievement would be accepted only for fulfillment of this award program. They will not be put on a college transcript and will not at any time be eligible for official college credit in the traditional undergraduate programs.
The reduced fee for this special Women's Ministries Award of Achievement program is $50 per unit (or $150 for a 3-unit course). This is considerably less than the tuition for traditional students.
Complete and submit the Women's Ministries application which includes your contact information, your personal Christian testimony, your signature on the college statement of faith and a written recommendation from the Women's Ministries Director at your church or another appropriate church leader. You may complete the application and recommendation forms at any time and mail them to the address on the forms.
You can download the WMAA Application (two pages) and the Recommendation Form (two pages with the second page being an overview of the program that you can give to the person you are asking to fill out the Recommendation Form for you) below:
After your application form and recommendation form are received and you are accepted for the Women's Ministries Award of Achievement program, you will be sent a letter of acceptance and a registration form to sign up for a specific class or classes. On the day that class registration opens to local area women, you will be sent an email to notify you of which classes have "space available," and then you can complete your Registration Form and mail it to the address on the form or bring it to the Bible Dept. office on campus.
