Majesty Update

March 26, 2014

Dear Friends and Family,

This spring semester has been one of stretching and growing for the group.  We have already been to seven churches so far and each one of them has been such a blessing.

One of our favorite churches of the semester was Pleasant Valley Bible Church of Camarillo, the home church of Majesty alumni, James Phillipps.  Majesty has been going to that church for the past seven years, and they are such a blessing to our ministry.  Pastor Paul Phillipps and his family are especially faithful to be in prayer for Majesty as we head out to different churches.  After the service, we all got to fellowship at a church member’s house and watched the Seahawks win the Superbowl.  One of our members, Ben, almost won the third annual Superbowl Ping Pong Tournament!  We loved being able to get to know the church and the members on a more personal level.

Last week, we were at an ethnic church in the inner city of LA, pastored by TMS alums Anthony Kidd and Bobby Scott.  Besides, our ministry, the service also consisted of a wonderful message from I Peter, as well as six baptisms.  We were so blessed by the various testimonies and professions of faith coming from a growing church faithful to the gospel.

Yesterday was a full day for Majesty, as we went with The Master’s Chorale to First Baptist Church of Lakewood, pastored by a TMC alum Brent Eldridge.  The Chorale did two services and we ended the set with a solo piece featuring Bert Suluvale, a TMC alum and brother to TMC’s own Siona Savini.  His testimony is a miraculous testament to the faithfulness and grace of God and to stand with him as he sang a creed proclaiming our belief in God and his power was a fantastic opportunity.

Afterwards, Majesty took an almost-three-hour drive north, past Santa Clarita and into Bakersfield to minister at Grace Bible Church.  The church has been through numerous trials in the past few years, but they are still faithful to proclaim the truth of the Gospel and the church is growing rapidly.  We performed our normal full set and then Pastor Steve ended the evening with a simple and powerful presentation of the gospel, as there were a number in attendance that do not normally attend the church.  The congregation was so thankful; not only for our music, but that we opened up doors to share the Gospel with neighbors and friends that may not be believers.  Hearing that is so encouraging, as we know that we do have a higher calling to be deliverers of the Gospel more than performers of music.

Please pray for our ministry as we get ready for the second half of the semester;  the upcoming theater production, in which half of us are involved in, will be demanding on our time and energy, but Majesty still has a ministry on Sundays.  Also be praying for the preparation for both our tour to the Northwest in June and for the Chorale’s tour to the Midwest in May.   As always, be in prayer for our hearts as we strive to proclaim the Lord above all else and as we meet numerous congregations and try to encourage and minster to them in the ways that they need.

In Him and for His Glory,

Amelia, Ben, Caroline, Jared (& Alison), Kyle, Mike, Sara, Shannon, Taylor and TIffany

Prayer Support

It is an immensely humbling thing to be a servant of the Most High God; to be an example of true, daily worship, and to usher His people into His presence. This is the wonderful ministry and unbelievable privilege we have this year! We would like to invite your prayer support as we serve… Please pray for our individual relationships with the Lord. Our ability to be used by the Lord is directly related to our time spent with Him. Our ministry must be an overflow of our hearts as they are filled with the things of God. (Ephesians 3:16-19; I Corinthians 11:1; Colossians 3:16, 17) Please pray for our continued unity. We are ten individuals who spend much time together in a dynamic ministry. United we are an incredible tool for God to use, but divided we are a dangerous weapon harmful to the Lord's church. May we walk in a worthy manner being diligent to preserve one mindset. (Ephesians 4:1-3; Philippians 2:1, 2)

Please pray for the churches and schools we are visiting this year. It is our desire to be an encouragement to them as we seek to increase their understanding of who God is, to motivate them to live every moment as a heart-felt response to this understanding, and to implant in them the desire to serve the Lord in the ministry He has for them. (Romans 12:1, 2; Hebrews 10:24, 25) Please pray for the individuals who attend our services. Week after week God encourages us through the stories and lives of those He has ministered to through us. May He continue to use us to cause others to glorify Him, and may they live lives that are forever changed. (Philippians 1:3-6; Titus 2:11-15)

Please pray that our lives would be forever different through our involvement in Majesty. We desire to grow ever closer to God as we proceed through life. Pray that we will take to heart what God is doing through us, and that we will be infused with a greater love and passion for the Lord that will reside in us for the rest of our days. (Ephesians 4:14-16; Philippians 3:13, 14) Majesty has recorded several albums over the past several years. They include Majesty Live, The Master's Music 2000, I Will Rejoice, How Great is Our God, and the latest album, I Will Follow Christ.
