SP221 - Spanish I


This course is designed to introduce the student to the beginning level of Spanish language. The curriculum will include the fundamentals of grammar, pronunciation, and basic conversation. The year course fulfills the general education requirements for foreign language.

Course Objectives

The Big Picture: This course will introduce to and familiarize the student with the Spanish language to a level that will allow him/her to move to Spanish II (SP222), and will provide him/her the tools to start developing basic communication skills in Spanish.

The underlying goal of the instructor is that the student may love Spanish in order to enjoy the learning process and may acquire an indispensable instrument in today’s world – it is also a means to advance the Gospel.
