Mr. Peter Heffner

For the past twenty years, Professor Heffner has served in public education, having taught World History, U.S. Government, and Mathematics.   At UCLA, he studied under world renowned scholars such as Eugen Weber, who recorded The Western Tradition for WGBH Boston and PBS.  At Clemson, he completed his graduate program under his principle supervisors who held doctorates from Columbia and Harvard.

Currently, Professor Heffner's research projects include a biblical model for the southern route of the Exodus and a new, annotated edition of English Calvinist John Ponet's Short Treatise on Politic Power. At TMC, Mr. Heffner will be teaching U.S. Government for the Center for Professional Studies.  Prof. Heffner is a native of southern California and found Christ in a nearby Christian school; a photograph centering on his grandparents hangs in the Legacy Room.
